Two Walk Away From Fiery Crash in Northern Maine
Two people walked away from a fire that consumed a pickup in Northern Maine.
State Police say Timothy McGary and his passenger were traveling west on Haney Road in Cary Plantation just after 10:30 Tuesday evening when he lost control of his pickup. He was on a portion of that road that isn't plowed or maintained this time year when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The occupants were able to get out of the pickup before it caught fire. Police say it's considered a total loss. McGary and his passenger walked away from the scene to McGary's residence nearby. He sustained only minor cuts and scratches while his passenger was uninjured.
