Two men from Maine were injured, one critically, in a 3-speedboat collision during a regatta on a Massachusetts pond.

The accident happened Saturday during the Bill Giles Memorial Regatta on a pond in Taunton, Massachusetts. 39-year-old Mark Greene of Moultonborough, New Hampshire was killed in the collision.

67-year-old Stephen Joy of Bangor was seriously hurt in the crash. According to the BDN, Joy was listed in critical condition Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. The third driver, 72-year-old Alex Poliakoff of Richmond, sustained minor injuries.

There are no details about how the crash happened but all three drivers were thrown into the water.
