Take two beautiful people, add a congested, disjointed science fiction storyline that throws in every sci-fi cliche you can think of, and you have 'Jupiter Rising.' The new blockbuster starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis had audience members at the Sundance Film Festival walking out.

I haven't seen the film, but, Jim and I caught the trailer at the beginning of a DVD we watched recently. It wasn't even over before I looked at Jim and raised my eyebrows. His response was "It looks ridiculous!" I saw elements of just about every sci-fi movie I've ever seen, all crammed into the short trailer. But...maybe it was just us. Maybe the critics would love it more than we did.

Apparently not. 'Jupiter Rising' was shown at the Sundance Film Festival recently and much of the audience walked out, according to Yahoo! Producers said the movie is directed at an audience of teenage boys, so perhaps therein lies the problem. I'm not a teenage boy and neither are the Film Festival goers. Still...it will be interesting to see how the movie does when it premieres on February 6th. Personally, I think I'll skip it!
