Stephen King To Be Honored By President Obama

Stephen King has a busy week ahead of him with several events on his schedule, including a trip to the White House, where he'll be honored by President Barack Obama.

The Bangor author will receive the National Medal of Arts in Washington D.C. on Thursday.

On Friday, King will appear on the "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," which is in its inaugural week.

King also plans to travel to the Harvard Book Store in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He'll attend an event with Lee Child to discuss Child's latest book in the Jack Reacher series.
