State police are asking for the public's help identifying a man whose body was found in Old Orchard Beach. The body was found by sewage plant workers in a tributary off the Ocean Park section in a marshy area of Goosefare Brook.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release this afternoon that the workers from a nearby waste water treatment facility found the body at about 8 o'clock this morning.

Police say the body is that of a man likely between the ages of 30 and 40, about 150 pounds, 5'8" tall, with long brown hair. Missing person files are being reviewed and an autopsy is planned in Augusta on Tuesday.

Anyone who thinks they may know who the man is should call the State Police in Gray at 1-800-228-0857.
