If firefighters are on your list of people you look up to, then NBC's TV series 'Chicago Fire' is a show you should watch. The series is based on one of the country's premier fire departments, Chicago Fire Department's Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61 and Battalion 25. The firehouse shown is Engine 18's quarters, located at 1360 S. Blue Island Avenue between 13th and Racine.

One of the cast members, Charlie Barnett, who plays Peter Mills in NBC's hit series, is a firefighter candidate assigned to the firehouse.  Following in the footsteps of his father, Peter hopes to one day join the Rescue Squad.

This holiday season, Charlie has teamed up with Shriners International to produce public service announcements talking about the Shriners 'Be Burn Aware' campaign. Burns seem to be more prevalent around the holidays with Christmas Trees, lights and plenty of cooking going on.

Monday morning, JR & Cindy will be speaking with Charlie about the show and how he's teamed up with Shriners International so you and your family will 'Be Burn Aware' this holiday season, and every day

If you know a child that could benefit from the services provided by the Shriners, or would like to know what Shriners are all about, contact Noble Darin Ingersoll, Anah Shrine's Chairman of Public Relations at dariningersoll@anahshriners.com
