A former Bangor man, who now lives in New Hampshire, is facing charges for putting his girlfriend's son in a dryer. He's charged with aggravated assault.

WLBZ reports that Adam Morton, age 27 of Berlin, New Hampshire, has admitted putting the 2-year-old in the dryer. In question is how long the child remained in the appliance. The boy had 2nd degree burns on his arms, feet, and back. There were also lesions that suggested the boy and/or the dryer was moving.

Morton was staying with his girlfriend and her four children in Bangor when the incident occurred. The other children reportedly told investigators from the Department of Health and Human Services that Morton 'does mean things' to the 2-year-old.

Morton is being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
