Police Warn Runners Of Color Run Scam

Bangor Police are warning runners of a scam targeting Color Run participants.

They say an event called "COLOR 5 mile" is being advertised but there are no permits in place for the event. Police say they tried to contact event organizers but they have not been able to reach them.

The Color Run is a 5K event taking place in Bangor in August.

A similar event called Color Bangor will benefit the American Folk Festival this weekend.

Police say The Color Run and Color Bangor are both valid events.
