Police say two people were stabbed in a Rockland apartment on Wednesday.

The incident happened at around noon in a Knox Street apartment shared by the two victims, the suspect, and another person. According to the Portland Press Herald, a 33-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and back, while a 23-year-old woman had superficial wounds, including to her forearm.

Police caught up with the suspect in a Dunkin' Donuts bathroom, evacuating the coffee shop until they could take him into custody. 32-year-old George Gilmore has been charged with elevated aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  He had just moved into the apartment when he relocated from Bridgeport, Connecticut five months ago.
