Police Identify Man Found Dead In Milford Apartment

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of a man who was found dead in his Milford apartment.

Sheriff Troy Morton said in a media release that the deceased has been identified as Jeffrey Brooks, age 47, of Milford and Etna. Mr. Brooks was found, unresponsive, on the floor of his Main Road apartment on Tuesday.

Officials say his death is no longer considered suspicious, although the cause of death is still unknown. The State Medical Examiner's Office has conducted an autopsy and is now awaiting further test results.
