Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Truck In Addison

A pedestrian has died after she and another woman were struck by a truck Friday in Addison.

Trissa Donovan, 42, of Harrington and Mandy Kane, 37, were walking on East Side Road when the truck struck them from behind.

The women were transported to Down East Community Hospital in Machias, where Donovan later died of her injuries, WABI reported Monday.

Kane is expected to recover from her injuries.

The driver of the truck, Kayla East, 23, of Addison, was reportedly distracted by her child when she crossed the center and struck the women.

East was transported to the Washington County Jail in Machias and charged with driving to endanger and operating after suspension.
