One Dead In West Forks Crash

A 44-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Route 201 in West Forks Sunday.

The Morning Sentinel reports that David Dubois of Fairfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Somerset County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that Dubois struck a guardrail and a large boulder. His SUV rolled over several times before coming to a rest upright in a ditch, the release said.

Investigators say it appears that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
