[UPDATE] One Dead, One Hurt In Cornish Accident

One person was killed and another suffered serious injuries in a crash on Route 5 in Cornish Thursday morning.

York County Sheriff Bill King says 34-year-old Paul Goodwin of Sanford was killed in the two-vehicle wreck on Route 5 at Spur Road.

King says Goodwin crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old William Loring of Parsonsfield.

Goodwin was pronounced dead at the scene. Loring was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police are still working to determine why Goodwin's vehicle crossed the centerline.
