Six out of seven people in a vehicle were arrested over the weekend after a Bangor Police officer pulled them over. The Suburban was stopped after nearly running into the officer's cruiser.

Bangor Police Sergeant Tim Cotton said in a post on the department's Facebook page, that the incident began around one o'clock Sunday morning. That's when a Suburban carrying seven people ran over the concrete island on Hammond Street and nearly struck Officer David Farrar in his cruiser. It's not surprising that Farrar decided to pull the SUV over and find out what was up.

Cotton said four of the occupants were out on bail and had conditions of release and all seven of the people in the SUV were suspended or revoked. Officers Davis, Larby, and Haskell helped Farrar while the vehicle was searched. Seized during that stop were scales, needles, burned spoons, crack cocaine, bath salts, heroin, suboxone, marijuana, and Ritalin. All but one of the occupants of the Suburban went to jail on various charges.
