Think about it for a minute.

Think about all the ways music impacts your life.

Aside from witty and entertaining on-air personalities, and the latest news and information, you tune into your favorite radio station for the music.

Music has always played a huge role in my life, and the teachers I remember and appreciate the most were my music teachers.

That's why I started The Gifts of Music back in 2010, and in 2011 TGOM was granted its official tax-exempt, nonprofit status by the IRS.

The Gifts of Music is supporting Maine kids and their music educators with instruments, scholarships, and grants.

As the new school year gets underway, TGOM is busy "gifting" instruments and just last week provided support to music students in Milo.

Currently, instrument requests are pending from music educators in Guilford, Surry, and Sullivan, and donor support and musician memberships to the organization make it all possible.
