State Police say a Minot man was killed when he pulled out of his driveway and into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said the accident happened at around 6:00 Thursday evening on the West Minot Road. 68-year-old Earl Belanger drove his car out of his driveway and into the path of a van which struck the car on the driver's side. Belanger died at the scene. His passenger, 59-year-old Claire Dobbs, who also lives at the house, went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, 61-year-old Charles Lane, Jr. of Minot, was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
