Military Tattoo Takes Over Fort Knox Historic Site Saturday [VIDEO]

Men in skirts playing bagpipes! Need I say more? Okay, so they are actually kilts not skirts, but the experience is still one you don't want to miss!

I never was one to get too excited over Scottish bagpipe music but that was before I heard it in Fort Knox. Fifes and drums are also featured in the performances. Check out the videos from past years to get a taste of the tunes and event.

Multiple groups get together at Fort Knox State Historic Site once a year to bring the sounds of Scotland to  Prospect, Maine. Bring a lawn chair and a snack and relax in the outdoor atmosphere while surrounded by large granite walls offering some of the best acoustics you've ever heard for this type of music.

The Scottish Military Tattoo event is scheduled for this Saturday at 5:30PM at Fort Knox in Prospect. Tickets can be purchased in advance, details are available on their event page on Facebook or the Fort Knox website.
