Medical Issue Causes Northern Maine Logging Truck Accident
State police say a man operating a logging truck suffered a medical emergency on Rt. 1 in Monticello, causing him to lose control of his rig and roll it onto its side.
Winfred Murchison, 65, of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick was traveling southbound in a 2001 Western Star tractor-trailer when the incident occurred, Maine State Police said Thursday.
The truck went off the right side of the road and into a ditch, spilling part of its load.
Police provided no further details about the medical issue but said Murchison was not injured in the crash.
The tractor-trailer sustained significant damage.
