Man’s Life Claimed by Suicide, Not Fire

What drove a man to take his own life may never be known.

The suicide was discovered yesterday afternoon after fire fighters from several departments were called to the scene of a fire.

Public Safety Spokesman, Steve McCausland, says the man was discovered outside of the home when crews arrived on scene.

McCausland says the man apparently doused the home with a flammable liquid and set it ablaze before hanging himself.

There was no note left by the victim to indicate a motive for his actions.
