A Limington man is accused of killing his neighbor with a machete and then hiding the body in a pile of deer carcasses.

The family of 55-year-old Douglas Flint reported him missing Friday. According to a police affidavit filed Monday, Flint's neighbor, 57-year-old Bruce Akers, had called police on Thursday and accused him of stealing alcohol. It was the latest in a series of disputes between the neighbors. At one point, according to the affidavit, Akers had trespassed and bathed in Flint's swimming pool.

A search was launched for Flint, and his body was found over the weekend in a pile of rotting deer carcasses in the neighbor's backyard. Officials say he had been nearly decapitated with a machete. Police questioned Akers and charged him with murder.
