Guinness World Records has confirmed a world record attempt made by Skowhegan Moose Festival attendees.

Skowhegan Moose Festival organizers have confirmed that their attempt at a World Record has been verified by Guinness World Records. Back on June 9, Skowhegan Moose Festival attendees filled the Skowhegan Fairgrounds grandstand to be part of the World Record attempt.

In total 1,054 people participated in the world record attempt, which set a new world record for the Most People Moose Calling Simultaneously. The previous record was 995 people.

Folks can get their photo taken with the official World Record certificate at the Main Street Skowhegan office on Friday, Feb. 15 from noon to 3 p.m., at 48 Court Street in Skowhegan.
