UPDATE: The Maine Warden Service is reporting that Donald Jones has been located. He is safe and on his way home.

The Maine Warden Service is asking for public's help in locating a missing man from Shirley, Massachusetts.

Donald Jones, 68, came to Maine on Tuesday, June 21 for a fishing and camping trip, the warden service said in a news release on Wednesday. He was expected to return to his home state by Monday, June 27, but he never arrived.

Warden Service investigators believe Jones spent several days at a camping area in the Greenville area and left on June 27.

Game wardens say there has been no activity on his cell phone, and his family hasn't heard from him.

Jones should be operating a 2009 Silver Toyota Matrix with Massachusetts registration 2822 CY. There should be a red canoe and camping gear secured to the top of the vehicle.

Anyone with information on Jones' whereabouts is asked to call the Bangor State Police Regional Communication Center at 207-973-3700.
