Maine Man Uses Social Media To Find Long-Lost Daughter [VIDEO]

A Maine man says he found his daughter on Facebook after he spent 23 years searching for her.

William Rivera moved to Maine from Puerto Rico in his early 20s. He says he found out he had a daughter shortly after he arrived in the state.

Rivera says he didn't know his daughter's address or phone number and finding her was extremely difficult.

"Every single day it was like an emptiness in my heart. You wonder 'Are they eating? Are they well? Who's taking them to the doctor?'" Rivera told CBS 13.

Two years ago Rivera logged into Facebook and posted a picture of his daughter.

His daughter, Tania Rivera, eventually saw the photo and contacted her dad.

William and Tania met in person for the first time last week.

Tania wasn't the only person William got to meet. He was also introduced to his grandson.
