Jason Aldean and his wife Jessica Ussery have reportedly separated, less than one year after the singer was caught kissing Charlotte Bobcats dancer and former ‘American Idol‘ singer Brittany Kerr. Ussery didn’t attend the ACM Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month. Sources indicate the split may have happened as early as January.

Us Weekly reports that a representative for Aldean confirms the 11-year couple were having problems, but wouldn’t elaborate and asked for privacy for the couple and their two daughters Keeley and Kendyl. The magazine’s source claims the couple was having troubles before the bar kiss in Los Angeles.

“The truth is that I screwed up,” Aldean said in a statement after the kiss. “I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar … I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself.”

The couple were photographed together at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards in January, as well as the 2012 ACA Awards in December and the 2012 CMA Awards last November. Ussery was the singer’s high school sweetheart. They married on Aug. 4, 2001.
