Holden Woman Attacked During Home Invasion
A Holden woman was attacked by a man during a home invasion Monday night, police said.
The home invasion on Dayze Way was reported at about 8:30 p.m., Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley told the Bangor Daily News.
The woman suffered significant but not life-threatening head wounds in the attack.
“There was quite a bit of blood,” Greeley said.
The incident is being described as an attempted robbery, but it appears nothing was taken from the home.
Investigators said the woman and a man who lives with her were specifically targeted by the intruder, but they’re not sure why.
Greeley said the attacker was armed with a pistol and had a covering over his face.
Bangor police said the man may have fled the scene in a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the house.
