Three teenagers were hurt in a single-car crash in Hampden Monday night.

WVII-TV reports police were alerted to the accident on the Canaan Road just before 11:00 Monday night. Responding officers found a vehicle in the ditch, with three teenagers. All three were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. One was seriously hurt while the other two had minor injuries.

Now, officials are working to determine what caused the driver to veer off the road. Officials at the scene said there was no evidence of skid marks so it didn't appear that the brakes were applied before the vehicle left the roadway.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
