It was challenging for the folks at Habitat for Humanity to find a qualified family for this fall's build, but they've finally found the perfect future owners. Now the race is on to get the house built before winter sets in! Can you help?

Habitat's new partner family is a single mom with three young children ranging in age from 4 to 8. Obviously this family is thrilled that they will have a beautiful home to call their own! But it's going to take the community coming together to make sure they're in the house before the snow flies.

The property is in Hampden. Craig Colson and I joined other volunteers over the summer to help clear debris from the cute corner lot. I loved the fact that it's right on the main road, but is also part of a neighborhood. It will be a great place for this Mom to raise her kids...near the schools...and with plenty of other families around!

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor is currently looking for skilled and unskilled individuals to help build, and businesses who are willing to give time and/or materials to make this dream a reality. If you can help, contact Amanda Charette  at 942-8977 or find her on Facebook!
