Grace Potter and Lake Street Dive to Play Portland in August

Grace will be joined by the soul/jazz group Lake Street Dive at the new Portland outdoor venue Thompson's Point.

The August 1st Thompson’s Point show was announced Tuesday morning by the management of Portland’s State Theatre, who are booking the new  venue. The venue has a capacity of about 5,000 and is located off Congress Street.

The last time Mrs. Potter 'graced' us with her tunes, was back in 2011 for the Kahbang music festival on the Bangor waterfront. She was recently featured in Kenny Chesney's new song 'Wild Child' and performed it with him at his Big Revival Tour kickoff in Nashville. Potter teamed up with Chesney for his 2010 album 'Hemingway's Whiskey' with the track 'You and Tequila' which received 2 nominations at the 54th Grammy Awards for "Best Country Duo Performance" and "Best Country Song".
