Free Books For Kids On Tuesday

Bess the Book Bus is coming to Bangor! Area kids are invited to stop by and pick up a free book. Help your kids to discover the joy of literacy!

Reading has always been such a huge part of my life. Even when I was a kid, I loved books. I read about the adventures of Pippi Longstocking, Little Women, and the Boxcar Kids. That passion has followed me all my life. At any given time, there's a novel nearby so I can read if I get a few minutes!

Bess the Book Bus is a mobile literacy program that provides children nationwide with access to new books. It works to instill in children that same love of reading that defined my childhood, which is so great!

If you know of some children who would love to get a free book, bring them by the Big Apple store, 146 State Street in Bangor on Tuesday, September 2nd. Bess the Book Bus will be in the parking lot from 3 to 5pm. Each child will be allowed to take one book, while supplies last! (no purchase necessary)
