The Thomas Hill Standpipe will be open for a great leaf peepping opportunity this week.

The Thomas Hill Standpipe will open for the annual Fall Foliage Tour. The tour is Wednesday, October 10, from 3-6PM. The event is free of charge. It should be noted the standpipe is not handicap accessible, with 100 stairs leading to the promenade deck.

After the Fall tour, the Standpipe will open one last time this year. The Holiday Tour is set for December 7.

The standpipe was built in 1897 and is designated as a National Historic Landmark by the Maine Historic Preservation Commission.
