Ellsworth Wreck Sends Woman To Hospital

A woman suffered a broken leg and possibly a broken ankle when her vehicle collided with a semi in Ellsworth Monday.

The Ellsworth American reports a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Christina Eagle collided with a Walmart truck on Route 1A near Storage Plus.

Police say Eagle fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the centerline.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Traffic near Storage Plus was shut down for about an hour while crews cleaned up the accident.
