Weather which has caused a little bit of havoc in Eastern Maine in November, is continuing to cause problems in December.

The Ellsworth Christmas Parade which was scheduled to take place Saturday, December 6th has been canceled because organizers didn't want parade participants to be injured dealing with slippery streets and sidewalks. The forecast is calling for rain and freezing rain in the morning and switching over to rain in the afternoon.

Thelma Beal, one of the organizers stated that the decision was made on Friday afternoon so that participants wouldn't make their floats and then have the parade canceled on Saturday morning.
