Life changed drastically for Tom and Rose Ketchun on January 26th, when they awoke to a popping sound coming from their roof. They were able to escape the fire unharmed, but the converted camp has been declared uninhabitable.

Fire Investigators say old wiring caused the blaze that was tough to battle because a metal roof had been installed over a shingle roof and the fire got caught in-between. While friends and family are thankful the couple escaped unharmed, the reality is that they're in need of some help.

So a spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be held this weekend to celebrate their safe escape and help them get back on their feet. It will be held from 4:30 until 7:30 this Saturday evening at the Old Town Recreation Department on the Bennoch Road in Old Town. According to the event's page on Facebook, they have some great items up for bid! Plan to stop by, have some dinner, and browse the auction! Items up for bid include....
