Be careful on your way in this morning, because there's some patchy dense fog around that's making driving tricky. But, eerie as it was, the timing of it made me laugh!

My ride in was pretty uneventful to start. I didn't even see any critters this morning. No deer. Not even a skunk! But just after I turned from Dow Road in Orrington, onto Johnson Mill Road, my car was enveloped in the thickest fog I've seen in a long time. I mean, I couldn't see the road! I was literally driving by keeping an eye on the edge of the pavement in front of my headlights and following the mailboxes. Just after I'd turned onto Brewer Lake Road, by Bob's Cozy Corner, the fog dissipated and the rest of the drive was easy.

Why, you ask, would a scary, blind drive like that make me laugh? Because when I woke up this morning, Jim had just started watching Stephen King's movie 'The Mist.' The film focuses on a community of people who get trapped in a supermarket by a thick, grey mist containing 'things' that keep dragging people away.

All I could hear, as I drove into the fog was 'There's something in the mist! There's something in the mist!' Luckily, Stephen's creatures weren't hanging out in Orrington this morning!

Drive Carefully!
