I'm such a softie that I need to have tissues handy when I watch "America's Got Talent." Seriously! I love the show and get caught up in the fulfillment of dreams...you know, all that drama stuff. But this audition ran the gamut of emotions...shock...delight...and then lots and lots of tears (happy tears!). I wish I hadn't watched it in the studio just before I had to go on the air!
'Wagon Wheel' singer Darius Rucker is booked to appear on ABC's hit show 'The Bachelorette,' but the 47-year-old country star isn't expecting to get the final rose. In fact, Rucker won't be at all vying for the attention of bachelorette Desiree Hartsock -- he'll actually be doing what he does best: performing.

Auburn native Colin Britt was part of the 3 Penny Chorus and Orchestra when they wowed the "America's Got Talent" judges with an unusual version of the hit pop song, "Call Me Maybe." The group will now head to Las Vegas for the next round of competition!
Comedian and "Carol Burnett show" regular Harvey Korman died this week in 2008, at the age of 81. CNN reported that Korman had been at UCLA Medical Center for four months after suffering complications from an abdominal aortic aneurysm. He was always one of my favorite, so I want to take a minute to remember the humor he shared with Tim Conway.
I grew up watching "I Dream of Jeannie." And I hoped, as I think most young female fans did, that someday I'd look that great in a costume like that. Well now, as Barbara Eden and I are both much older, I still hope that I can look as good as she did the other night when she donned the trademark costume at the age of 78!

Where were you 21 years ago tonight? Do you remember? I do because it was the last night that Johnny Carson hosted the Tonight Show. I loved Carson and so my then-husband, Ed and I were watching. This impromptu moment with the amazing Bette Midler remains my favorite from that show
