Were you awkward in High School? I know, stupid question, right? Most of us felt awkward, even if others couldn't tell. Over the weekend, Jim and I rented a movie that addresses those feelings better than any I've seen. Check out the trailer for 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower.'

People who knows me now often finds it strange when my former Brewer High schoolmates comment how quiet I was in school. 'Cindy? Quiet?' they'll say. 'Are you sure that's the same Cindy?' Yup, same Cindy. Except, back then I was scared of my own shadow, afraid of not being accepted. And SHY. Really shy.

'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' tells the story of a Freshman who's dealing with some personal baggage that isn't revealed (even to him) until the end of the movie. He desperately wants to make at least one friend, when he meets the coolest step-brother/sister team ever. These two are so sweet and accepting of him. Plus, they're fun!

For some people, those four years are the highlight of their time on Earth, and they spend the rest of their lives reliving their glory moments. But for others, it was awkward, uncomfortable, and scary. This movie is for you. You are a wallflower!
