A Bangor man faces several charges after leaving the scene of a crash in Trenton that caused a lot of disruption.

The crash was reported shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday and the Hancock County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene on Route 3 to discover a Jeep and a broken utility pole, but no driver.

27 year old Christopher Proulx of Bangor showed up later  at a local business and was treated for non life-threatening injuries at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth.

Proulx faces charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, operating a motor vehicle after suspension, and violating conditions of release stemming from a drunken driving arrest in Penobscot County last month.

As a result of the broken utility pole, power was knocked out to customers in Ellsworth, Trenton, Bar Harbor and Sullivan and crews also had to restore phone and cable lines as well.
