First day of summer yesterday. Another beautiful day forecast for today. And tomorrow the expectation is that humidity will hit us square in face. The type of day that people post new updates on social media saying "in a new relationship with ......air conditioning"

Brewer Municipal Pool and Bangor Dakin Pool and Beth Pancoe Municipal Aquatic Center will all open.

Slide in, the water is refreshing.

Friends of Dakin Pool is trying to raise money and opening day is a way you can contribute to the fundraising. And bonus, get free ice cream too.

It's summer time. Time for some ice cream. And a dip in the pool

Opening day at Dakin pool tomorrow, Friday the 23^rd and Darling’s Ice Cream Truck will be on site between 1 and 4:30 p.m. and the Dakin Campaign will take voluntary donations in exchange for ice cream.

Win Win.  The Friends of Dakin Pool’s fundraising campaign is called Jump In!

Do it this summer and watch for events that will contribute to the campaign goal of $160,000 to support capital improvements, services and operations at the pool.  The family pool for many who do not have a backyard pool.
