Bangor police have made an arrest in the death of an infant on Wednesday. Five month old Korbyn Antworth passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center one day after being transported there via ambulance from a home on the Griffin Road.

The Bangor Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating the case and on Thursday arrested Samuel Moore, 25, from Bangor and charged him with manslaughter. Moore was employed as a caregiver for the child.

The case is still under investigation and police say additional charges may be filed after the case is presented to the Penobscot County Grand Jury. The Bangor Police CID will be working in conjunction with the Attorney General’s office as the case proceeds.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the child’s body but has not released the cause of death.
