Nelson Jewell

God, family, country, and blue collar roots—in that order…that pretty much describes Nelson Jewell. He’s a Mainer through and through. After dusting off the snow, Nelson stumbled out of Presque Isle, Maine, back in the late 70’s to attend UMaine, and has never left the Bangor area since. From farm work, logging, aviation, education, and broadcasting, you might say he’s lived an adventurous life. He loves his wife (the bumper sticker on his truck says so), children, grandkids, church family, his crazy dogs, his ‘ol ‘97 GMC truck, motorcycle, country music, and a cold one once in a while to take the edge off. Be sure to listen in weekday afternoons on Maine’s Fun Country Station…Q-106.5.

World Premiere Video: Charlie Worsham ‘Could It Be’

Charlie Worsham is a newcomer to mainstream country music, and his new song, 'Could It Be,' is climbing the charts.

Worsham, on a number of occasions, been compared to the sound of Vince Gill. I'd have to agree that there are some vocal qualities that hint of Gill, which is probably why he lists Gill as one of his musical influences

Best Budweiser Commercial Ever — Break Out the Tissues [VIDEO]

I love creative people, especially those in the advertising business. And those same people are under a lot of pressure when it comes to producing a TV commercial for football's biggest game of the year, when 30 seconds literally costs millions to air. And one company has kicked it through the goal posts for 2013.

It's such a great feeling when the phone rings at Q-106.5, and hearing friendly voices ready to make a donation to the Pine Tree Camp. Many of the camp supporters do it year after year. Nelson’s Night Ramblings: Ammo, Walmart, Guns, Teachers, and a National Crisis
