Officials say one person was killed in an accident in the town of Gray this morning.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office was called to an accident at the intersection of Shaker Road and Mayberry Road in Gray at around 7:30 this morning. 72-year-old Richard Shok was killed when his 2005 PT Cruiser left the roadway and struck a tree on Route 26. Officials say Shok was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. There were two others in the vehicle with Mr. Shok, but officials haven't said whether they were hurt.

Roads near the crash were closed for some time this morning as investigators worked to reconstruct the accident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but officials say it doesn't appear that speed and alcohol were factors.
