Weekend Temps Expected To Reach Summertime Highs Around Maine

Forecasters are calling for a scorching hot Saturday.

It's going to be a scorcher Saturday. Forecasts are showing high temperatures in the mid-90s for the Bangor area, according to WABI meteorologist Todd Simcox. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected along the coast, with temps near 90 degrees. The Lewiston-Auburn area could see nearly triple digit temps.

According to the National Weather Service, it's officially the peak temperature time of the season. Average high and low temperatures will be the highest over the next three weeks.

Sunday's forecast calls for temps around 87 degrees for the Bangor area.
