Police have identified the people involved in a fatal chain reaction crash at a Waterville Big Apple store.

Waterville, Maine Crash at the Big Apple on Main Street Kills a Pedestrian

Police have identified the deceased as Michelle Bruce, 37, of Madison.

Waterville Police and Fire Officials were called to 364 Main Street just before 11:30 Sunday morning for a motor vehicle crash.

New information about the crash from the Waterville Police Department indicates that a Blue Subaru, driven by Richard Moyen, 70, of Strong, was turning right onto Main Street from Waterville Commons Drive when it struck a Cadillac, driven by Kenneth Hughes, 57, of Waterville, who was also traveling east.

After the initial collision, the Cadillac left the roadway and struck a vehicle parked at the gas pump of the Big Apple Convenience Store.

Michelle Bruce, who was refueling her vehicle, was struck and killed.

Waterville, Maine Crash Victim Worked for the Madison School System

Bruce worked for Madison Elementary School, as an administrative assistant.

Counselors are available to students and community members at the school on Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.
