Two people face charges after police discovered a box of drugs on someone's property in Old Town over the weekend.

Michael Beal, 37, of Old Town and Danielle McBreairty, 30, of Glenburn, face charges including aggravated drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drugs as a result of the investigation.

Old Town police responded to a residence on Main Street at about 3 p.m. Saturday to investigate the box. When the officers responded, they were able to locate the individuals responsible for the box. The officers began interviewing the people involved and eventually obtained a search warrant for the property where the contraband was believed to be located.

A subsequent search of the residence revealed 562.8 grams of Cocaine, 132.6 grams of Heroin/Fentanyl, 11.3 grams of Methamphetamine, 474 grams of unidentified substances, and $15,654 in cash, according to police.
