Since leaving Fox News in 2023, Carlson has become increasingly critical of the Republican Party following President Donald Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran in February.
After supporting Trump in 2024, Carlson has since apologized for that support and accused party leaders of failing to represent their voters, saying he no longer believes he can defend the party.

Carlson has a long-running connection to Maine, where he owns a home in Bryant Pond, a village in the western Maine town of Woodstock.
He has spent time there for years, and local reports have described the area as one of the places where he has lived and worked outside of his national media career.

And there you have it! Ahead of the midterm elections in November, Tucker Carlson says he will no longer support the Republican Party.
