An accident that closed down traffic on Route 3 in Trenton Thursday morning involved a box truck, two cars, and a house.

State Police told the Ellsworth American that it started when the box truck, driven by 42-year-old Christopher Webber of Bangor, crossed into the oncoming lane at around 8:15 in the morning. The truck hit a sport utility vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Alexander Berger of Bar Harbor. The SUV was then hit by the car traveling behind it, that was unable to avoid the collision. That car was driven by 57-year-old Terri-Ann Anderson of Ellsworth. The box truck then hit a nearby house.

Police say everyone was wearing their seatbelts, however Anderson and Berger were both taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Webber is charged with a misdemeanor count of rule violation.

The crash remains under investigation.
