Saturday mornings were special when I was a kid. Getting up early to watch Bugs Bunny and Road Runner. Eating Captain Crunch in front of the TV to Josie and the Pussycats. And then, there was Schoolhouse Rock. I still remember when the quick, educational cartoons played between the Saturday morning fluff. And Conjunction Junction was always my favorite!

The Schoolhouse Rock shorts started in 1973 and ran on ABC until 1986. They popped up again in 1992. And then in 2002, Videos and DVD's went up for sale, as the educational shorts have become a cult classic. What a great, innovative way to educate kids while they thought they were just droning out to cartoons!

The quick, entertaining clips taught Grammer (A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing), Civics (I'm Just a Bill), and Math (My Hero, Zero), among others. Take a train trip back in time on Throwback Thursday to Conjunction Junction. All aboard!
