
Maine Man Allegedly Robbed 2 Businesses in 1 Night
A Waterville man has been arrested for two robberies in Skowhegan that happened on the same night.
Maine Man Accused of Robbing a Skowhegan Grocery Store
David Alvarez, 40, of Waterville, was taken into custody on Monday after the two crimes that happened on Sunday in Skowhegan.

The eventful night began with a robbery reported at approximately 7:00 p.m. Sunday at George's Banana Stand on North Avenue in Skowhegan. The police have not commented on how much money was taken from the grocery store.
Maine Man Accused of Robbing McDonald's in Skowhegan
As officials were investigating the first robbery, they received a report of a second. It was around 9 p.m. when the police learned of a robbery at the McDonald's Restaurant on Madison Avenue.

Again, the police have declined to disclose how much money was taken.
It's not clear what led investigators to Alvarez, but he was arrested on Monday.
Maine Man Faces Multiple Charges for 2 Robberies in Skowhegan
According to the Morning Sentinel, Alvarez faces multiple charges:
- Robbery (2 counts)
- Assault
- Criminal mischief
- Obstructing the report of a crime
- Violation of the conditions of release (14 counts)
As of Monday evening, Alvarez was being held at the Somerset County Jail in Madison without bail.
Officials say the suspect had seven sets of bail conditions at the time of his arrest.
No one was hurt in either incident.
