Taking a quick swing through the parking lot this week, one can see that while the signs for the restaurant are up, there are still quite a few renovations taking place within the actual building.

There are piles of construction supplies parked out in front of the storefront. And if you look inside the shop, it's been completely gutted. It would appear that the plan is to redesign the entire space.

While there's been no opening date released to the public yet, a representative of Jersey Mike's Subs had this to say:

"This store is still in development. Please stay tuned for details!"

The franchise is also working to open stores in Saco, Topsham, and Brunswick. According to their website, the company has more than 2,000 locations nationwide.

"The Jersey Mike's franchise has 2,034 locations open and many more in development across the United States each week."
