Sure, you can go to an orchard and buy cider....but this Saturday the 29th from 11:00a.m. - 4:00p.m., you can actually head downtown and press your own gosh darn cider! The folks at Central Street Farmhouse are hosting a cider pressing at the Norumbega Parkway, between Central and Franklin Streets.

You just show up with your own apples, and they do all the pressing. And you'll be able to see your very own cider, made right before you're very own eyes! I'm not sure if you could possibly make cider any fresher than that. Or, for that matter, let it ferment and make your own hard cider. That would allow you to just sit back, relax, and let nature take its course with your liquid gold.

It's first come, first serve...and the only real "rule" is that you bring good, fresh apples. No rotten apples are going to hit the press. Which makes total sense. Also, there is no admission charge, but the folks from CSF are hoping you mind hanging out for a bit to wait your turn, and possibly even help out some folks around you with getting the presses turned.

It sounds like it's going to be wicked fun. And the weather is looking faaaaantasitc. So grab your freshly picked fruit, and head on down to make some of your very own, super fresh apple cider.
